Title: Oakley lenses
Post by: Ciaran on April 21, 2012, 03:26:11 PM
So while I'm state side I thought I would take advantage of the cheaper Oakley glasses. However I'm not sure what type of lenses to get, I'm thinking of getting a couple of pairs but what do you guys use/ recommend?

I've got some radars with jade iridium and ice iridium lenses. They are both fantastic but I prefer the ice iridium ones due to them blocking out a bit more light. I would recommend the ice ones or fire iridium which I am looking to get when I get paid :)

If you could get me a set of discounted radars then that would be amazing! Although I suggest buying a couple of spare pairs and selling them here. Rather than taking orders from members as you could end up with a long list!

I had VR28 lenses originally. They're a great all round lense for cricket which enhance red against a green background. You see a lot of pro's using this lense (Vaughan used to always wear them) - I've added to these some Iridium Fire lenses for brigjt sunny days. The reflective surface on the iridium lenses are really good for keeping out bright light. I also have Cinnamon as my light enhancing lense. This lenses probably gets the most use here in the UK. So for days when it's in between glorious sunshine or overcast I use the VR28's

The Photochromic lenses are really good, no real need to change these unless its very dark. Otherwise the VR28 and great in combination with persimmon for contrast enhancing in cloudy conditions.
