With people now dusting off kit for proper games I thought we could have a bit of a weekly competition to keep us all interested in the top performance of the week.
In similar fashion to the IPL purple and orange caps worn by the leading wicket aker or top run scored. How about we have a little run down each week with th forums top batting score and best bowling performance getting something for this?
Obviously not as easy as passing a sweaty cap to each other so I wonder if the admins could form sum über pimp stars or title which is held for a week or until such time that the figures are bettered by someone else?
E.g. Someone scores an early season 50+ and gets "star pimped" with the coveted Purple stars until someone does better...evidence backed up by play cricket info or pic of scorebook etc. (same thing for bowlers but with Orange stars or similar).
What do you think forumites?

Why not something like based over a monthly period?
-
Open to suggestions as to exactly how it could work...but always good to have a target to better to keep things competitive ;)

Maybe a highest run on a Saturday, and Sunday.
Then same with bowling.
And do it over like a league basis!

Was thinking of having the Monday run down where people enter their bids onto a thread as all games would have been played and scores in and any special scores would go not buzzes wall on honour (100's and 5 fors etc).

My 5fer never went on the honours!
Can I have some purple stars for the pre season period!? 75 not out!
This is a good idea, I think a Monday entry deadline is good. With those stars being kept until the following Monday. A banner in their signiture would be good too!

Sometimes Play-cricket or similar website's aren't updated so there can be no proof for some players.
I like the idea of monthly totals, say 400 runs in a month etc. I know some player play a lot more than others but weekly performances may get to hectic.
Love the idea though

yeah the only problem with the play cricket proof is that sometimes the scorecards dont go on until later on in the week. but then you could always get a photo of the scorecard. great idea though!
