Retro Slazenger stickers were some of the best looking around IMO.
Used to love the V500 and V800 stickers
The new ones aren't so nice

I feel they would not have much customers for the bespoke service. The slazenger website has got no details about it.

Echoing what Fletch said..............who make their bats in the UK?

I have to say it makes me more likely to buy one, knowing that. Before, if I had wanted an SS I would have bought one with SS stickers on it not an SS dressed as a Slaz....

A mate of mine had a very nice old school V800 that lasted him about 7 years or so, he might be interested in this service if he had the cash.

I've just been sick........

Funny how all these brands have suddenly found superior players G1+++ willow. Makes a GM LE or Kook 1000 RP a bargain.

However with these 'ultimate' bats now, does this now downgrade the GM LE's, Kook 1000's etc in terms the willow selected for these bats?

Ultimate is top of their range as it stands anyway.
It's not the worst offer with the extras - I wouldn't do it, but it's unfair to dismiss it without seeing a sample.

I can't see anyone on here taking the plunge without prior knowledge of who the batmaker is.

Still, the 'experience' provided with this package makes it a better option than the GM Players range in my opinion.

I think it's easy enough to get that 'experience' from most bat makers on here. I'm sure H4L or Rob Pack would be happy for people to go along to the workshop.

this is what a few of us have said all along. this willow hasnt just appeared so its either the same as the top end just below it and they are blagging it, or everything has moved down a grade

I popped into Fordhams near Wimbledon last weekend and I noticed that the GM LE's etc and top of the range bats looked quite poor in terms of Willow, I seem to remember seeing one top of the range bat (cant remember which now) that had 6 not even straight grains on it. I didn't tap it up so it may have been a performer - however it really looked like a poor stick.
Now I'm not sure whether it was Fordhams that had a poor selection of bats, or the general selection of bats has got worse because of these 'G++++++++++!1+!+!!+!+' bats have come around?

The offer is a daft one, spend £550 and you are not told where the bats are being made apart from West Midlands and when you can go. Charlie French is not doing them so maybe Slazenger have set up themselves?

I was thinking DF - They seem to have a close relation with Slazenger from what you can see in sports direct and the like and with their own company failing by the looks of it - seems to be a good move from DF if they were to take this on?

I didn't think DF made bats in house anymore either though? Hence why Roger Weston left

I have not seen a DF in years... I had thought they had stopped altogether...

Bumped this as the price has come down to £290 (inc "signed Eoin Morgan England shirt")!
Did anyone find out where the bats are actually made? I have a vision of some meagrely grained clefts gathering dust on a shelf marked "mugs only"...

The bats are made at the DF factory by a batmaker that Slaz have contracted in. I don't think the bat maker has an association with DF.
