Im refurbing a bat for my club and I've had a look at the twine and its started to come away from the handle at the bottom. What's the best/easiest way to reapply it?

Unwrap a bit more, glue the handle and then re apply and Use the tuck under/ pull through technique using a small section of binding in a loop to secure under the binding. Put the loop on the handle with the loop at the bottom. Wrap the binding around a handful of times. Put the loose end through the loop. Hold in place and pull the loop upwards towards the top of the handle. Should pull the loose bit/ end through and tuck it nearly underneath the binding. Trim and glue. Job done.

What glue would be the best to use? A wood glue?
