Title: Kookaburra "Big Edge"

Sorry for the sketchy info, but does anyone know/has heard anything on a bat/range of bats called the "Big Edge"

Spotted the sticker on the side of a few of the Australian's bats and came up as a trademark registered in December. Was wondering if it was a new range perhaps or a new gimmick? Or maybe just a fancy sticker to bring in the punters!

looks like abit of gimmick, maybe to prove ther 'thick' edges

 sg,  i think ask j.s wrights for there willow to be dried for longer, 12 months?, the lighter the cleft the bigger the bat.....  and prob getting bigger cut clefts as they are one of there biggest customers

The willow on the Kookaburra looks drier this year than the ones last season. I had a couple of Kookaburra bats and they looked great but edges were petite (especially on the Beast). The willow on the Kahuna RP is horribly light - beats my 40mm BAS. A team mate has bought a massive RP Kahuna with a massive profile (quite similar to my UZI C6+) but weighs just 2.9

SG have been making bats with big edges for a few years now, but the quality of their willow is better than (BDM, SS and others) as it not dried as much. However, the bats tend to be a bit heavier (traditionally SG has been known for making some of the lightest bats).

Look at the edges on Sehwag's bat made by SG now. They are massive.

I have to say I am very impressed with my Kookaburra Biggest Kahuna. The bat is very big and the ball really does fly off it and the willow is only grade 3. Hoping it brings me alot of runs this season :).

Kookaburra are going to be launching a range of Big Bats, over 3lb's. They have asked Wrights for bigger clefts to do this, however the word is 50mm edges, but these bats will be very heavy. I think it is doomed to failure but Newbery have 100 over size clefts to make 3lb+ B52's due to demand so maybe people are looking to go heavy this season.

Dhoni's has Spyder on the edge.
