Title: Mohammed Asif
Post by: Red Ink Cricket on May 03, 2012, 06:20:22 PM
So you get out of prison and what do you do? Come down to kempston hammers that's what. Turns Out one of the ladies I coach is friends with him. Released today, friend picked him up and he came down to the club. Didn't spend much time With him but my brother did. Got to say he seemed a decent guy despite what has happened.

LOL! Seems like he was missing clubbing in jail.

After all he came to club after six months.

He is a decent guy though no doubt.

Mate this is incredible, despite the ban ask him what he's like bowling in wet conditions on a green one....

Well I was gonna ask him if he fancied a net but it was a bit wet. He mentioned about coming to the ladies training as he knows one so may get to face him if I'm lucky.

Ask him whether it was worth it.......

He was young, foolish and misguided by those who he thought he could trust plus I'm pretty certain he has said that he regrets what he did. Learn to forgive.

I'll get the Violin out......

He cheated for money.....he should never be able to play international cricket again and should have had at least a 10 year ban from all domestic cricket. Age is absolutely no excuse. If he was mature enough to play for his country and to accept money for cheating he's mature enough to face the same penalties as the others involved.

Hang on isn't Asif the older one 29 or something?  Hen knew full well what he was doing and he has paid the price, he'll be 34 by the time his ban is up and to be honest Pakistan look to be doing just fine without him!

Well what's done is done. Whilst I don't condone what he did he has served his prison sentence and had plenty left on his game ban. Everyday people do stupid things and regret things. I have no idea why he did it and I don't plan on asking him but maybe it's fair to let him get on with things and give him a second chance.

Here here!! Everybody deserves a 2nd chance at one thing or another in life.

It's when people start doing things 3 or 4 times is when a proper judgement should.be made.

Before people snap at me this is only my opinion tho, everybody is allowed an opinion
