Well, aside from the fact that it would be really good to actually get the chance to play cricket this weekend for the first time this season, my other half has all her female family coming to stay for the weekend (meaning that there will be two aunts, her mum and five cousins in the house) and I really don't want to be stuck at home with it raining outside and that going on. Not that I have anything against them, but if we do end up in that situation I may well end up down at the Cricket Clubhouse...
Anyone else got some good reasons to NEED to play this weekend?
-
really don't like our oppo, and have our strongest side in years out against them, whilst they have not yet played a game...

We might have KFC bargain buckets for tea.....

Need any players for Saturday mate? Wiff a piece of chicken under my nose and I'll field fine leg to fine leg for 100 overs
-
...I can't play this weekend anyway. Going away for the weekend to Castleton for a family get together.
Tim - how big is your house?!?
-
Not big enough... Inflatable beds and living room floors are coming in to play...
-
cricket is great procrastination!

Why I don't want it to rain this week, because if it does I think I'll finally lose the plot and bugger off to the desert, kidnapping a groundsman on the way, fly in a drop in pitch and stack load of booze and invite you lot out to play cricket.... Trouble is we'll never play as we'll all be to busy admiring each others kit! :) 8)

Ahh i'd love that, its awesome having something different for tea, better than having sandwiches every week!

Tomorrow, we are to play Wimborne, just 10 minutes down the road from us. One of their lads is my coach and hit 108* last week whilst playing for me on a Sunday!
Also one of their bowlers is from our village and gave his reasons for leaving us for them: ''I don't want to be a big fish in a small pond''. Even though we're in the same division ???
He's never played against us, yet but is due to tomorrow. I hope it snows tonight as the sledging will be brilliant!

Game cancelled tomorrow, due to idiotic council holding a May Fayre on a cricket pitch and then not being able to get get on it to sort it out. Angry might not be the best way to describe how I feel right now..... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

4 days of rain = no cricket. Swampy outfield and very soft square. Balls wouldn't make it back off the pitch...
-
the rain ruined our cup T20 final today, had to be played by today so a bowl off decided the game, we would of destroyed the opposite team if a game was played but the lucky b******* won it. cheesed of >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

luckily we play Sunday this week so still a chance for us however our 2nds will be off tomorrow as its rained all day and night today.
