I don't know for everyone, but a mate of mine is sponsored by them as he plays Australia U19's, and his bats are made in India. They are really nice and nothing like the off the shelf shape or size. His bats also feel incredibly good off the blade.
SG would probably just give them the best willow they have.

So I take it for people like Ponting and Hussey they would still be made in India? Might be getting one of a sponsored players bats so was just wonderinng

For people like Ponting and Hussey I would imagine the only thing Kookaburra about their bats are the stickers!! ;)
-
ah ok let me rephrase that, What about a pro in the county cricket circuit?
-
India I believe, same place as SS/SG bats come from I think???
-
Ah right, And will they be handmade or will they be machine made?
-
I'm sure Hussey for matter doesn't use actual Kookaburra bats, I'd say Julian Millichamp perhaps :)
Langer mate, mind elaborating what's so different about there's? Just big profile, better grain and obviously better ping?
Thanks
