Title: OnHand sports
Post by: anthonyant on May 14, 2012, 11:50:03 AM
Anybody ever come across these before. Played against a team on Saturday in Kent where half of the team used these bats. Look very reasonably priced too...

Think they're an Oxford based company. The bats looked like they played well enough dispatched the balls to the boundary with relative ease. Agree with you with regards to the stickers; very plain and a little boring and unimaginative.

Ed Young of Golden duck and Gloucestershire ignominy uses them

My mates brother is sponsored by them, full sponsorship. He rates the bat, says it's his best one he's used before. Agree the stickers are bland but the softs, bat and bag look great.

His name is Dom Hand as well, tying in nicely with the OnHand branding!

Is this Dom Hand, short, fat, looks like he wears a fake tan. And plays for Broadstone?

Haha thats the one, although he lost a shed load of weight this winter! He's still pretty tan though.

I play in and around Oxford and Onhand have been doing the rounds for about 3/4 years now round here.

Bats are big and go well, but they are dried out and break farily quickly. Pads and gloves are all decent enough, but are the generic re-branded softs bought in from india/pakistan.

Bats are worth a go for that price, but don't expect to get 2 seasons out of them.

Pretty much the entire of Oxford Uni, Oxford MCCU, Oxford CC and Banbury CC use their gear. It seems ok, but they are all basically Malik shapes as far as I can tell - big square bats with small handles. Pretty cheap though. They've got a small shop in Iffley Oxford as well...

Yeah, Cocky but a good bowler, he plays for me when he can. The EPP rubbish keeps him from playing somtimes though.

I think he's just dark skinned- his Ma's fairly dark too.

He didn't like it when our opener put him into the trees at Broadstone a couple of times!

I know! He also hates being chirped at when batting! The little teletubbie!
