Treble question really - I've got a club mate who wants to try a out BoomBoom bat -
Anyone have any recent experience of the lower end bats (I think Colesy reported on one about months ago or last year?)
Who's making them now, I thought it was Ihsan or Malik?
Anyone know of place to get hold of them cheap?
Cheers Batnerds!

All i know is SS makes them now...
-
Really - mmm, should be quite nice then!

yes it is true SS make some of their bats but the price of simailar plain SS bat is lot cheaper than with Boom Boom stickers. I hope you understand what i am trying to say

The old ones were made by Ihsan, but they're all made by SS now.
-
No, some are still made by Ihsan Wazza bro.

stay well clear

Back on subject... I love the lower grade Boom Boom bats, as for shop bats you can buy 3 for £240 and so what if they don't last as well as some. I don't mind the SS made top ones but wouldn't have one even if the price was the same, every SS looks the same profile wise and they are bland shapes. Have a swing with these massive light beauties...

Don't know how many SS are making but some of their Pro bats are still made in Sialkot. Ihsan i think is still doing some plus there are other unknown manufacturers who are making them. Overall good quality stuff.

Mine is SS made (pretty sure) and I have a Signature 130. Despite not getting on with it originally I really like it now and for a supposedly grade 3 bat the 7 straight grains and blemish free blade would suggest otherwise. I think once they're knocked in or played in properly you'll get very good vfm for £150ish.
Have my GM for 40-45 over matches and use my Boom Boom for t/20s

Mrcricket.net have been selling a lot of BoomBoom bats so might be worth a look. Good guys too.

Globe have the Signature 100 @ £80, think a few others do too.

Was going to go into Globe earlier. The last batch of Boom Booms in there had a slighly different shape to mine which made me think a change of bat maker? All decent sticks though, you could buy a lot worse for similar money
