Title: Toe Guard or Shoe Goo
Post by: LMQ21 on May 20, 2012, 11:10:46 AM
After batting yesterday for 15/20 overs I noticed that my toe guard started to peel away. On my last bat I took the toe guard off in one innings and then had a new one fitted which never looked to good.

After joining the forum I have seen many use Shoe Goo and am wondering what people think is the better solution when the toe guard comes completely off? Shall I refit a new toe guard or shall I shoe goo it?

And if the latter... what type of shoe goo do you use and what is the process?

From a Julian Millichamp video I watched this morning.. just spread clear shoe goo on the toe with a knife and tidy/finish off with a wet finger.. seems a better option than fixing a toe guard to me.. I've lost at least two this season or the toe guard has worn away where I tap down making it look untidy..
