Hello All,
I think this have been discussed before but do Gray Nicolls make any bats in UK?
A teammate of mine is looking for one but doesn't want to have the asian made GN.

Gray Nicolls clain there bats are made in England, Australia, India and South Africa.
However, majority are made in India, very few are made in UK. From what I have heard pro ones are UK made whilst others are India made.
-
Any way one can get hold of one that's UK made?
P.S. - He just want a GN. If he won't get UK made - Second option is AUS made.
-
look for a GN with A stamped into the toe u know its a uk one then
-
Simmy I'm sure he'll be buying off internet, so I doubt he'll be able to get that info know. Maybe ask Asad at Uzi Sports?
Jag, I'm not 100% sure how to get hold of a UK made, however, one thing I'd say is that if you put UK made GN and Indian madewGN side-by-side you'll hardly be able to differentiate

Mate is going a little crazy over it to be a GN and UK made. (Had I been in his situation - would have got a redback or a Screaming cat :D )
And I will try to get hold of Asad.
-
LOL! Haha! I'm sure if you give him Indian made GN he won't be able to tell if its Indian made or not.
-
I wish I can do that and save all of us this trouble. :D
Bet'n Season Started Uzair?
Howz its going ?
-

Gimme your address and I am going to steal your stuff lol - Screaming Cat, MH, Redback,Custom GN - What else you got LOL.
-
Have got a full secured vault for all that ;)

From what the sponsored players say I'd ask for the Indian made.
-
ive only ever knocked up with one uk made gn and tbh it was a pretty decent stick! much better than the scoop that was indian made.
the quality of the finishing etc was on a level both with fantastic finishes just the uk one had a much bigger middle.

Really Mike?
I am surprised. I always thought the other way around.
-
Well I've only spoken to 3 or 4 GN players about their bats, the common thread for the picky ones was they used to buy Australian before the recent Indian innovations which I think is the flatter face, over dried willow and big edges. As with most GN topic's Alex would know exactly what is going on although I fully understand that it would be very difficult for him to post that information. Anyway the players all seemed happy with the 2011 offerings from India.
-
I might also add that if GN came out and said UK made was better then they would be saying that all the shop bats are inferior which would be bad PR, from what I saw a few years ago on a factory tour with Gary from Redback there won't be any difference in manufacturing.

Got it :)
