Ayrtek, Masuri, Gray Nicholls, GM or Albion??
-
Ayrtek.
-
Ayrtek by far!
-
Ayrtek or Masuri depending on price range.
£50 get the Masuri steel, upwards of that Ayrtek all the way.
-
I think most forumites will say Ayrtek. There is a minority who don't like them due to either the fit or the modern design.
Whilst it might not quite fit 100% of people it's definitely the most adjustable helmet available, and the fact that the modern shape is more a safety feature then a gimmick then the argument against the shape gets weaker.
-
Having used nearly all brands I'd say Ayrtek is best followed by Masuri.
-
not a lot wrong with an albion club mark 2. cheap and effective.
works well with an ayrtek ti grille too ;)
-
I've always been happy with Masuri...
-
And bear in mind that most of the Big Brand helmets are really Albion or Masuri rebranded.

Anyone here tried the Puma ones that were fairly popular in IPL season 1 i think? I had it and sold it on but i liked the fit better than the Ayrtek which might be due to me not using my Ayrtek properly...

I find the ayrtek moves on my head when I am batting, its almost like there is a leak somewhere coz when i go down to bat its fine but after a little while i start feeling it get loose :(
-
Perhaps try some sweat pads in combination with the liner which may give u that little bit extra comfort to go with the liner?
Let me know if u want some and can organise them easily enough

I have the sweat pads in mine, adds a few mm to the lid so more comfort. I only use 1 on the front, not on the sides

Hmm it is perfectly fine for me to be honest.
Idiotic question but are you 'pumping' air innit at optimum level?

i assume optimum level is when its really snug on my head!! in that case yes :)

Ayrtek mate.

I agree here - I have an Albion Club Mark II and it does the job absolutely fine! Tempted to switch to Masuri, but for me, the grille is a bit too close to the face for my liking...

I have always been a Masuri man, just used them for years and when I go to get a new helmet I try on others but most seem quite bulky these days.
