I'm thinking of purchasing the above bat because I've broken two bats in the space of 2 weeks and I now require a decent bat to replace my beloved Salix which broke on Sunday!
This Woodworm sounds like a good deal, the bat is worth £350 according to Woodworm but they're selling it for £179.
£179 for a G1+ willow sounds reasonable to me.
My question is, has any one purchased a Woodworm iBat Pro Series bat and are they any good? They've had a good write up from Wisden Cricket Guide which is pleasing.
I'm either thinking of buying the Woodworm iBat Pro Series or the Woodworm iBat ALPHA. The alpha model is only £150!
Opinions and advice please gentelmen!
Cheers

I would be pretty careful if you're going to go with a Woodworm bat if you've had two bats break in 2 weeks. When they were big they had a reputation of breaking. I assume they have a different supplier nowadays though.
I would assume they are Indian made as well at those prices.
-
If your near them go to the factory ( well warehouse ) not far from me and was a decent little trip
-
I imagine for 179 you could get something way better than that.
-
they're odd are Woodworm - jaw droppingly ugly in my opinion, yet the pros who use them give them a really good rep. Though one assumes that said pros do not have to care too much if their bats are over dried and therefore break easily...
-
I would just go for a GN 4/5 star, excellent value for money and if they break it's easy to go back through the shop to repair it
-
Woodworm are ok, factory near where I work. But if you spending £180 you could get a Hawk x-bow starts at £195 for grade 1, Redback Paradox Premier £185. Personally I'd rather have either of these for that money. I'm sure a lot of forum sponsors would be able to sort you a top bat for that money.

Get a kelsall custom for that, or TLB or red back,
-
there are plenty of "ors" available when it comes down to it...

Cheers mate :p

Seen 5 at our club. Not one is worth £179, look elsewhere

I live quite close to woodworm/ sports hq. I have to say that, considering the proximity there are not many woodworm bats around in the league. I think they are made by CA. I have a team mate who used to work for him. I will ask him tonight if I go down for the nets weather permitting.

Out of interest performance or looks
-
Both, been plenty of grains but wavy and inconsistent, and very planky. They last as in don't break, but have no middles
-
I've seem a few of them around. Agree they are planks. Well the ones I've seen have been. I'll happily make you one for that price aswell. Go with the masses and choose a forum sponsor,All of them are much better than a woodworm
-
Get anything but!
-
Avoid like the plague!
I have never seen a good one,
There are loads of bats on here for that price that will be much, much, much, better.
Why are your bats braking so much?
Also "iBat..." do me a favour!!!

Agree as well, steer well clear, personally, cannot reccomend BlankBats enough, best bat Ive ever used
-
Thanks for the advice guys. Appreciate it!

As a footnote, one of my mates bought one of these from SportsHQ and hates it. He can't hit the ball off the square (although, he never could ;))
-
My Brother bought one when they first came out he had four innings with it and it snapped cleanly like flintoffs that time haha they are bad bats there are so many better bats out there
