Hi, i was wondering how you make trainers into spikes. Also was wondering what materials i would need for it and where to get them thinking of trying it out on an old pair of running shoes if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

the shoe doctor in taunton is your best bet!!
-
i know where to get them done im after material to try and attempt to do myself

ahh ok well they may be a good place to ask anyway...if they will give away their secrets!

im only wondering as ive found a guy who does this service who lives 5 minutes away from me but wont spike my shoes up for me. But he will sell his own shoes spiked up for £60+
-
Sounds like he's sending them off and making a few quid!
But spiked trainers for £60 is cheap, you are normally looking at that for the shoe, 20 quid for the service then postage costs on top.

he says he's a cobbler by trade but he's spiked up a £35 pair of asics and selling at £60 so im reckoning that the actual spiking must cost him under £15 if he wants to make a bit of a profit. So therefore the materials he uses for it must be quite cheap to get hold of
