Title: Considering attempting to make my own bat
Post by: Kieron_BT on June 16, 2012, 09:18:09 PM
Hi all

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere before but after reading this forum I am really considering attempting to make my own bat

How much would it cost me to buy all the tooling to give it a go including a cleft?

Also could someone list out what tools i would need please

Cheers

Kieron

A simple search would show you topics listing similar things mate :)

But a couple of spokeshaves, flat plane, draw knife others will add more.

If your looking for a cleft drop me a line as I have one for sale at the moment :)

Sorry mate, thanks for getting back to me

Just had a quick search in google for the tooling

Do you think i could get all the tooling and a low standard cleft for a first attempy all for under £150?

Oh for sure mate! I have a cleft for £45 for that's a great start.
Look in the for sale section flethcher (Ryan) is selling some of his tools, I'm sure you could get a good deal off him if you drop him a message :)
