Title: Guess the model of this GM
Post by: Colesy on June 26, 2012, 02:44:27 PM
As Globe Sports did not have any Boom Boom Signatures in to replace mine, they offered me £150 store credit to buy a new bat. Having seen this I decided to get it.

GM Icon
2.9
11 even grains

Anyone guess which model it is?

With the fact that I know what else you bought and what you'd have left I reckon a 707?

Original L.E

Nah only joking. Got a pair of 606 gloves too as spares as well as two grips so I think this looks pretty good for a 606 model. I saw it and picked it up straight away, for £106.50 I thought it was a bargain even though I wasn't necessarily paying so this will be a little bargain I think.

Looks like a 909 or an Original to me.  If not, I think it's been misgraded and you've done well!

It looks nicely grained, however don't GM also mainly grade their bats on weight/pick up? That's what I can guess by their index on their site.

I wanted to test the rebound before I bought it too just to check and bounced a ball on it in store and felt nice so thought why not.

I know they're not on here but thanks to Globe Sports as their service was brilliant, staff easy to talk to and very helpful

Cant you get a good discount and pick of the bats at GM? Don't you work for them? lol

anyway, looks a lovely stick, any blemishes on the back or edges?

Haha I wish, just got lucky with mine. There is a slight blemish on the back a bit like my 808 but that doesn't bother me, it's nothing major and doesn't stand out

Very nice piece of wood for a 606, I once got a 4 star GN Nitro that looked like a PP! Beauty of a bat for around £100!

My first bat was a Harrow Purist 606 which was similar aesthetically, guess I'm lucky with GMs
