Title: Oval handle, what grip?
Post by: Played and Missed on June 26, 2012, 11:29:09 PM
Just got a new bat and the handle is a bit to thin for my liking.

What grip would you recommend to make it thicker (Coil etc.) ?
Or
Would you just go for 2 grips?

Also what grip do you use with an oval handle??

Thanks.

Depends how thin it is to start with, and how you feel with it.

I use the older Puma grips on my bat, They have a thicker ribbed thing on the bottom hand which seems to sit well with the oval handle and on one of my bats it needs one Puma grip, on another it needs a standard grip underneath with a Puma one ontop.

I find octopus grips work best on oval handles for me..chevrons start slipping/moving in the hand once it gets a little sweaty

Do you add the octopus on top of the chevrons grip or do you remove it on just use the octopus grip on it's own?

On the RPC with thick oval handle i have just the 1 octopus grip...on hades and h4l with thinner handles i have a thin chevron under a octopus grip...
