Title: Buying a bat
Post by: SeagullTim on May 04, 2009, 09:59:57 PM
Two and a half weeks ago I asked Warsop if I could buy a Platinum bat with some certain specifications. I answered their replies and on the 27th I was told they hoped to have some pictures of the cleft for me to look at before buying, the next day. They still haven't sent me one, and with my season starting this Saturday, it looks like I'm going to have to start it without a bat.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this or have your bats been purchased quickly and sucessfully?

Give them a ring and explain the situation.

I have had a couple of WARSOP bats and the service and quality of the bat have always been of the highest standard.

Going by my experience, the best way is to call and speak/keep in-touch with Tony. They are a family run business and do not have loads of people working in the sales or administration or customer services. (Same is the case with Salix).

Call them up, and you will get the attention and all your questions will be patiently answered.

I'd recommend calling them mate if you really want one, I emailed them making an enquiry about a month ago, they emailed back asking specifications and the like, I did so the same day and have heard nothing since. I just left it at that, If your going to be handing over so much of your money you'd expect some sort of customer service wouldn't you. I went down the AS Sports route instead and couldn't be happier, top quality service and the bat I recieved seems to be a belter! I do hear Warsop are very good for custom bats though.

Use the phone but they do take a while to make as they are always busy, remember that being very busy when others are quiet is a good sign for their quality of bat. If they have a bat in stock then it will be posted same day, but for a custom it will be in the queue.
