Has anyone seen these as featured on Cricket Insight? Would be intrigued to see what the palms are like. Wonder if they are a bit like the old Uhlsport APG goalkeeper gloves
-
They will be like the palms of the batting gloves, so the grip will be immense.
-
Aero coming up with something new and innovative again! Those guys are so creative and cool! Usually quite simple ideas that make a lot of sense - but it always seems to be Aero that pioneer them. They just seem to be miles ahead of the game compared to everyone else in the softs and wicket keeping market...
-
They are the cheaper version as well, only £30ish
-
i'm going to go for them i think. Too intruiged not to. need any advantage i can get ;)
-
I wonder what the MCC will think about silicone?
-
Are they available elsewhere besides the Aus shop in the link does anyone know?
Wonder if they will lead to any embarrassing moments where you try to throw the ball back but can't let go of it!
-
Will they be available in the uk ?
-
They look bloody awfull! And the name 'Vintage' what is vintage about them?
Besides if you need a helping hand from technogolgy to catch a cricket ball maybe you should be playing the game!

On that basis I assume you don't need the best possible bat you can get your hands on? ;)

That happens when wearing the batting gloves - you'll go to throw the ball back to the bowler and it will go straight up. Very annoying.
-
Have to make sure there are slips in at all times to pass it back then!
-
Dont like the look of them tbh.

Point taken, but couldnt agree less. I would by a pair of quality keeping gloves as i would a quality bat, my point was why rely on technology??....having seen these today at Owzat they are terrible....one good thing is they make a mini size for kids

they arent out in england yet are they??

Sam, no doesn't look like they are out in England yet, the version available here with the same name is different.
Butterfingerz - I don't actually like the look of these but I appreciate Aeros attempts at innovation. Technology has brought us improved pressing techniques, cncs, concaving, offset edges, scuff sheets and the list goes on. If it was not for technology we would still all be using the lifeless blades of yesteryear and facing bowling without helmets so why not continue to embrace such advances? :)
-
Amen to that!

I'd be all for it if it were to enhance the life of the palms or additional protection to a keepers hands but as an aid in catching a cricket ball i disagree. Weren't carbon backed bats banned because it was found to give an unfair advantage...same thing really

I was about to buy some Aero KPR Gel WK gloves this year, and almost bought the ones. They are nice and are essentially the same as the brillinat old Easton Gel WK gloves as I think (I may be wrong) Aero have taken over Easton WK.
