Was in jjb about 2 weeks ago and picked up 2 very cheap evo slayers for about 60 quid
there the horrible ones with the crap coating and grain sheet on.
Me being bored and nothing better to do i stripped the 2 bats and hey presto here are the results

one is a belter not sure why they covered it the other is a brute and as such fire wood
all in all 60 quid for the 16 grainer i quite happy plays well there bargains to be had
-
Happy days Dave, looks great. Try n hit the ball on the face of the bat tho, not the side ;)
-
Perhaps the 16 grainer was downgraded for another reason? It looks too good to have had a covering fitted to hide the grains.
-
now now it just has had 30 overs through the machine on it stands up well
it plays ok has some writing on the handle
it is stamped j and n
the other is not great but again taps up well is stamped i and n
and the good looking one is slightly longer in the blade by 5mm
