Such a sorry sight, water polo it is then
-
i know its not funny but the thought of covering the wicket is making me chuckle!
-
Yeah a local ground does not help the square is in a bowl so all water goes on to square
-
I'm sure that's drier than the ground we played on last week.
-
Playable!
-
where is that? looks like a lovely ground to play cricket, granted when it doesn't have a lake next to it
-
Montgomery and yes is a beautiful ground with nice pavy and sun deck
-

Oh dear Ed, ours is still underwater so we've switched it to Cattistock

We thought you might, otherwise we would have asked to play there. Everywhere else in West Dorset is either flooded or booked, so we have to settle for 5 points against bottom of the league!
-
I know Abbotsbury where after their ground as well. Weather isn't looking too special anyway
-
More importantly are they bat willows in the background ?
-
Haha, I don't think so. Keen eye though!

That's as wet as Whitney's last joint.... ;)
-
Never tried 'white lining' off the 'turf' though....
-
We definitely should be playing Roco! It'll drain in a couple of hours I'm sure. The biggest disappointment is missing out on a cricket tea really :(

Not to try go one further, and not where I play cricket but where I was supposed to the other week:

Safe to say I think it was only called off cos they were scared of losing.
-
Soft southerners haha, get you scuba gear out!!
Although our track isn't the best at least the ground drains well.
-
Ours drains okay, except when it has had constant rain for 3 days.

Got to feel for the people that put the covers on, did all that work then the water just went underneath them.. I'm guessing they won't be playing any home games for the rest of the season unless they have international standard drainage..

This was my old teams pitch inspection at 11am yesterday
