Title: Who has the most bats??!
Post by: ItsJustCricket on July 21, 2012, 10:38:58 PM: I know there was some rather amusing discussion earlier in the week about certain Forum members owning "too many" bats, and the problems this causes for the respective missuses!

Purely out of interest, and amusement, what is the most amount of bats anyone has owned at any one time?

Post by: tim2000s on July 21, 2012, 10:46:59 PM: At one point, I had around 40. I gave 12 to Cricket 4 Change and then proceeded to sell off the others. I now have only the 7 in the picture, plus about 7 vintage bats that aren't really for use.

Vintage bats on the mantelpiece then, Tim? I like it! Takes a true English Gent to own vintage bats purely for show - well done! :-)

I want to arrange a T20 match where everyone has to use these bats and see how we get on!

Shops or batmakers aren't eligible for this - sorry, should've made that clear earlier!

Love the idea of the T20 with Vintage bats - just add to that some Pimms, a Victoria Sponge and a Panama hat or two and the scene is complete for me...

Don't forget the pipe smoking whilst batting.... ;)

I've got about 10 bats but only 6 are really useable....I'm actually developing quite a collection of batting gloves though!! Love 'em!

Narrowed to one because of my habit of blaming/ changing the bat and gear whenever I don't get much runs. Don't think it has helped much though :( . I am still wondering If I have got the right bat instead of watching the ball and playing straight.

Atleast they're not as expensive as human children!

I'm on 2 + 1 I've given to a mate and waiting payment for, might be on 3/4 next season depending whether funds will allow me to buy a L&W and a Dynadrive!

Haha just the 1 kid anymore and I wouldn't be able to buy any bats!!! Plus I'm not to sure what Social Services would think if I sold one to a team mate! That's if they would notice! :D
