Well, just when the bad weather stops and sun starts, this happens.
We agreed to have our outfield sprayed after the game on yesterday to get rid of all the weeds. To my horror, when I turned up at the ground this morning I discovered that rather than using the agreed 'friendly tire' small tractor, they passed it onto another person who use a normal tractor with massive tires. This is the outcome

The tracks are all over the outfield and an inch and a half deep in places. We've had to cancel todays match as its too dangerous.
Not Happy!

Get someone on the roller around the outfield mate!

Spewin....

I would be fuming, not meaning to rub it in but I can't wait to play today. It's scorching

Have they never heard of grass tyres?
-
Pitch were playing at next week is out for season as cows stampeded the square so unfit for cricket this year
Had the above happen at old ground tractor was dragging really heavy roller round outfield but making these marks as well
-
Grass tyres have much smaller tread on them and won't leave marks like these as if u look at al tractors used to drag the rope etc at the counties they obviously have them.
The worry now would be that the sun now dries the tyre tracks out mate so they can't be rolled down as easy as when soft!!!

Yeah, thats the problem, hopefully the groundsman has it all in hand. The smaller tractor that cuts our outfield has these grass tyres, thats the one we thought would be doing it. But it got passed on to this other guy, it was organised by the rugby club we share the ground with, they have the contract for the ground

Sorry to see the damage done by agri tyres(these are for tractionm not spreading weight as turf tyres). IMO need to try + relieve compaction if possible slitting/chain harrows before light roll as with how wet wouldn't want to compact + m$ake draining worse.
