Guys,
I am currently after a new Cricket Bag and this forum seems to praise the Salix Pod Pro bag quite a lot. I came accross the bag at our old friend's Pro-Direct:
http://www.prodirectcricket.com/Products/Salix-Bags-Luggage-Pod-Pro-Wheeled-Kit-Bag-BlueBlack-15125.aspx
Couple of questions and concerns I have:
1) Firstly, why do you guys think it is selling for so cheap, when this bag's standard retail price is £40+? Is it a last year's edition?
2) Does anyone know what year/model this specific bag is from? Reason asking, in the description it says "padded external front bat pocket" - But i'm sure those of you who have owned this bag will confirm it has a Bat "Cave" for 2 bats. Also the dimensions stated here on Pro-Direct do not match the other Salix Pod Pro bags elsewhere online.
I thought those of you who either own the bag, or have seen it in the past would be able to shed some light on this.
Thanks.

Watch the video review by its just cricket, covers all the points about this bag.

I think this is at least 1 season old, I believe salix went to their 'blue' coloured bags this season? - So they may have been around in 2010, but def 2011 season.

Thanks, mate - yes, the review should help, and it is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJQNlqoTsME&feature=plcp
As for the pricing thing, I wouldn't pay too much attention to that if I were you. Pro Direct are a law unto themselves when it comes to pricing, so if you want typical industry figures, don't look there!
It's a lovely bag - really is. Such a shame we've sold out! :(

Very nice bag. I have been using them since last year. Very please with quality

Will these bags take full batting and keeping gear?

Don't think so mate, think you would need the pod tri wheeled bag to fit keeping stuff in.

Wrong. I Have carried team keeping kit plus my stuff with no problems in mine.

Really Tim? That's quite surprising actually because the last bag I had that was near the dimensions of the salix wouldn't have been able to fit all that in. I don't bother packing my bag properly though, just chuck it all in!
