Post by: imogzyboy on August 03, 2012, 09:02:14 PM
okay so its pay day!! and im going to invest in some pads tomorrow before my game before i go i wanted some advice, i really like the look of newbery pads and gloves but are they really worth the amount of money being asked of them? is it just because of the name or are the genuinely amazing pads!

The Newberry test pads I have are great! So comfy and protection is also very good. And at a reasonable price

I've found Newbery Sps pads and gloves to be very comfortable, although they are quite bulky and squeak (yes squeak) alot.

I found them bulky and heavy when i had a pair of SPS Pads, great protection but too heavy for me to be honest

I've got the 2011 SPS pads and in my opinion they are worth every penny. Very comfortable with a great level of protection and as they've worn in (i've used them for nearly 2 seasons now) they've got softer on the inside and even better to wear. Despite this they have held together well and mine have no rips, tears or loose threads etc. Easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth

And they look the business. Do it!
