Title: Flat face Powerbow
Post by: tushar sehgal on August 10, 2012, 02:17:39 PM
So this arrived today, had ordered it for a friend but what i find surprising is this a flat face GN, is this something they are doing this year?

Bat in itself is nice, decent pick-up haven't tried the mallet yet..

A few Australian models have flat faces, so presumably made in the same Indian factory.

ok thanks guys, the one i got earlier in the year from Uzi sports wasn't flat faced...

yeah it is big and weighs abt 2.11, got it from cricdeals.com for $185 (116 GBP) so a good deal, coupled with few other things that i have purchased cricdeals has been good so far

i does look a little odd but i can't say i hate it without trying it, I think buzz mentioned somewhere that flat faces give you a bit more control placing the ball but then again we are, or atleast me, are not good enough to notice the difference..

The PB that I got a week back - actual AS one, had a slightly covered face. But most shop bats I have seen have a flat face.

compared to one from today

I wish i had taken pics of the older on the same way but its funny how small the difference is in the pics but yet when we see it in person it really stands out, regardless the new does feel very very good off the mallet
