Hi guys
I have used my Asics Strike Rates for 3 years now and they are so worn they are like slippers! Its actually painful on the ankle to bowl in them now so I'm looking to get a new pair for this weekend.
I would get another set of strike rates but they are £70 and they are only half spikes, meaning extra money to drive up to Taunton to get the rears spiked.
A team mate has the Nike Century II boots and I tried them on for size yesterday, just wondered if anyone has a views on them. I haven't worn them for anything more than a walk around the changing room. Does anyone know what they are like as an all round shoe?
Thanks

I know size 11 is too big but maybe okay if you use some nice thick socks? ??? http://www.barringtonsports.com/products/nike_zoom_air_century_cricket_shoes_2010/10659/view?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=shopping&sa=X&ei=EBspUIa4A8TWtAbhk4DIDA&ved=0CGQQgwgwAg

I really like Nike shoes and I rate them highly! I have Nike Googly's, Nike Zoom Opener II and Century II (yet to get my hands on them).
So I have nothing but praise for them

Hi mate,
I've got the Flywire Century II boots and use them for batting.
I find them quite heavy and substantial and love the look of them (once you navigate the expected mic taking), however I only started using them this season and since I changed I have found I get moderate pain in my shins after a long day.
Now I can't put this completely down to the shoe (possibly more caused by the, somewhat substantial, weight passing through my feet and the fact that I am flat footed), but I have never experienced this before.
On reflection I wish I had gone with the Asics Gel Advanced 3 as I believe they would probably be more suited to an opening keeping batsman!
I hope this helps but if you have any specific questions please ask. :)
