Which trainers did you have done mate?
-
All this talk about trainers not being that protective, I'm pretty sure if I got one straight on the toe with my spikes on a similar result will occur

Do any brand offer protection caps for their shoes?
I seem to remember some plastic toe covers that slotted over the toes of your cricket shoes but wondered if any brand offered this kind of protection built in?
-
Agree. I inside-edged a ball into my 22yds and broke my little toe. Still kills two weeks later :(
I got hit loads on my toes when I was younger, even with the good old mitre boots with toe protection it still hurt. I'd asked on here ages ago about any spiked that had toe protection or any sort of extra shield that could be fitted but I dont think there's much out there unfortunately.

Something like this would offer some protection but as the Tuff Toe is advertised for pitchers id imagine it is more to protect the toes when they shift forward on impact from pitching the ball. Strange that bowlers usually cut a hole to alleviate any resistance. The Tuff Toe does look like it would offer some external protection though. Maybe our friends over the pond could give us a better insight....?
