Title: Pakistan v Australia ODi's
Post by: The_Bird on August 27, 2012, 07:16:11 PM
And the prize for worst training kit goes to...?

It reminds me of the infamous Chelsea grey and orange strip. Also its CA not Boom Boom, Afridi must be gutted.

Should be a good series this!!

Interesting that Pakistan look set to name three spinners in their lineup, whereas Australia has dropped Doherty for Dan Christian and will rely on part-time spinners.

To be fair kit doesn't look that bad in flesh, previous one was made by Slazenger who get clothing in Pakistan by CA.

I thought Doherty WAS a part time spinner?  :D

1-1 in the series, looks like its going to be a ding dong battle. Top Knock from Jamshed and nice to see Ajmal bamboozling someone else!!

Nasir Jamshed is a good batsman, spends lots lots of time at NCA improving himself as a player.

Jamshed looking awesome! Exciting prospect for Pakistan especially since he is only 22! Hopefully him and Hafeez will forge a solid opening partnership for the foreseaable!

It was extremely humid yesterday so very difficult to bat in those condition.

Gutted so see him being dismissed in two figures not three :(

Yep, must have been tough batting out there! Good to see Pakistan giving a good young opener a chance to cement his place, rather than wheeling out the old, ineffective openers again and again, like Taufeeq Umar.

Bit concerning that we lost 7/50-odd after Warner and Watson got out though. Mitch Starc has come into his own on this tour. Really hope he can push on and get right into the mix for tests.

Is Shaun marsh still out of form/injured? Would love him back in the team, would strengthen that middle order up for sure.
Maxwell looks a decent prospect,D Hussey version 2.0 hopefully?
Starc has impressed and hopefully he and Cummins stay injury free now!

Marsh seems to have fallen completely off the map since being dropped from the test team. I'm planning to get along to WA vs NSW in the Ryobi Cup on Sunday, so hopefully get a good look at him (and hopefully Clarke plays too).

Yeah haven't his name once since he was dropped, same as khawaja really, had a couple of good knocks in warm up games against aus and sa(I think) for derby and hasn't done much wrong that I'm aware of - where are they!?  ???

I don't know what the selectors' thinking is, but Marsh was on a rotten streak and deserved to be dropped. I hope he can get back in the runs for WA, because we need guys like him making a case for re-selection. As for Khawaja, I think the selectors have been impatient with him. He never had a bad run; always made a start but never went on with it. Will be interesting to see how the move to Qld suits him and what it does for him. That goes for Hughes at SA too.

Oh yes wasn't disputing marshes original dropping just wondering how he isn't back yet. Frustrating because he seemed a class act and it all appears to have gone down the drain
