I've been looking around at grips and trying to design (well in my head for the moment!) a grip which I could put to the market potentially if it's good enough and you guys think it's actually a plausible idea!
I quite like Kookaburra Snake grips, and Feather grips, but have no idea where i should start trying to think from a design point of view. Has anyone got any ideas?
Also I'd appreciate replies about your favourite type of grip/colour and what you'd like to see in your "ideal" grip, if you have one. Thanks!
-
my ideal grip is the GM shock absorba, thats what i use at the moment, tried feather grips but the bat just turns in my hands, i hate octopus grips as they shred my gloves
-
I really like octopus grips just seem to feel really comfortable in my hands.
-
Are the octupois grips annoying?
I think im getting a pink one on my plain bat,
Should i put it on the top?
-
I'm with Liam i find the GM shock absorb grip to be very very good and the best on the market in my opinion, the Aero grips are also pretty good.
-
Every time i bat with a shock absorba i do well, also the new yellow one looks great on my blade
yeah singo i find octopus grips annoying, they feel very nice as as under grip but when on top then have shredded the palms on both my pumas and my grizzlys
-
Hmm ill try it out at the top and if it doesnt work ill change it with my other pink grip :P
-
Thanks guys, keep it coming! Good ideas coming through!

I love White grips as I feel they go with any stickers. My fave's are a kinda Scale type grip, they don't turn in your hands and are really good wearing.
-
i only use white grips as they look good with any bat and they dont stain gloves, i like octopus or ribbed (herringbone i think) if there was half ribbed and octo that eud be godd for the bottom hand if ribbed as its thicker
-
Ribbed for his pleasure

her pleasure!

Depends on your persausion - Teakay may have be speaking for himself!

Check out a load of hot water bottles, you might find some good grips and textures on there.
-
It's obvious that bats nowadays focus on keeping it light (lighter willow, carbon handles) - perhaps a new material, lighter than rubber and permanent?
-
i have a grip which is the bottom half of the shock absorba all the way up and its brilliant no movement or nothing even after a long bat and slippy palms still no movement
-
Rubber is light as anyway. Making a grip that's really easy to put on would be good. Without having to get special appliers like the GM vacuum and the octupus thing.

That's actually a really good idea, will look into it! Keep posting as more and more ideas will only be better for you guys, since as I said I reckon I can get it put out there should you want it enough.
