Bumble, this morning has been tweeting about last night's sneak preview of the Adidas 2013 cricket gear. Talking about the new bats, pads, gloves, boots! Anyone have any pictures or know anything about this? He sounds very impressed!
-
I was under the impression they were stopping cricket bats all together?
-
It wouldnt be a bad thing if they did! Haha
But I don't know, Bumble mentioned bats in his tweets so maybe a bit of confusion??
-
Not sure heard from a mate whos a sales rep for a sports company, hes been saying they have cut ties making cricket gear, and someone has bought the rest of the leftover stock.
-
Clearly wasn't true with images of their 2013 range now doing the rounds on here and social media

Wow horrible!
Im not sure he should be bowling in the ODI's or T20, come over, get some sun on his back and overs under his belt yes, but having barely played outdoors is this the best time for him to come straight back into the side?
-
Far to bright for me these. Will be some serious glare for the batsman when he is running into bowl in day night games. :)
-
Quite like the 2013 Adidas shoes. But can understand why many will dislike them.
-
Similar Marmite reaction to the Orange Nike boots a couple of season ago
-
I still really like the red colourway of a few seasons ago. Currently have the blue ones which I like, but the 2013 ones are a bit bright for me personally.
-
I just picked up last season's blue ones from Aswani Cricket - much prefer them to this year's colour range.
They are in keeping with their entire softs range though - no doubt the young 'uns will love 'em!

SL 22's

I hate adidas bats as they will always look like fake ebay ripoffs.
Don't mind the shoes tho

Agree, bat looks poor but the shoes are appealing ;)
-
Also they have changed the spike positions on the 2013 SL22 shoes.
-
Don't really see the problem with the shoes, I think they look cool! Well, the ones The_Bird posted anyway!
-
The bat stickers are terrible. Not an improvement on the previous versions at all.
-
Do u think they worry about people copying their stickers or see eBay fakes as more exposure ?
-
Im still to see a genuine adidas bat. Repaired probably close to a dozen planks with ropey looking stickers on them.
Adidas is the one brand that i guarantee we will never stock. Just pure aids.

Fabulous Jake, just fabulous
:D

I find it a shame that there seem to be so many fake Adidas bats around.
I had a stunning Incurza Elite that went like a rocket, which I swapped (and regretted it)
But I have only really used the Incurzas and recently purchased another Elite for really decent money, and the knocking in is going beautifully!
I may be wrong, but the impression I get is that consistency may be a problem?
-
I have today taken a chance on a Adidas Incurze Club from Pro-Direct. On mega sale at £39.99 for an English willow bat. Just got to see if it does actually turn up or if I get the email telling me its out of stock.

Biggest problem is the sheer number of readily available fake (or genuine; leaked/nicked from factories who knows?!) stickers out there on absolute planks.
The number of bats they are 'making' means by law of averages there will be some good ones.
Their softs are an abomination as far as im concerend. No doubt well made/comfortable, but just look at them! Grim.
Maybe i'm just too much of a purist (he says while representing a brand/club that endorses skin tight pink clothing covered in pink lions....) but i just resent the whole idea of Adidas being involved in cricket.
The shoes and whites are the only things worth having imo.
