Well with my season now over I'm looking for somthing to do and think its got to be either insanity or PX90.. Anybody given it a go or got the dvds and not started yet?
-
Insanity iv been doing it for 3 weeks now and every single workout is a challenge
you will sweat buckets and you feel yourself getting fitter
-
I take it its an hour a day 7 days a week? Are there weights or resistance bands needed?
-
Insanity is cardio and great for getting fit and lean. Px90 is more of a muscle building workout I believe....
I've done a couple of the insanity workouts and they are very tough and can see how people are getting good results from it
I'm sure if you do either and stick to it you will get good results
-
Insanity requires no weights or resitance bands all you need is some floor space and a tv/ dvd player or laptop to play it on and a bit of grit and determination.
its 5 days a week for 40 mins you start week on with a fit test then followed by 4 days workout you get one day off a week and also he takes it easy on one workout a week to allow you to recover
you repete this for 60 days every 2 weeks completeing a fit test to see how much you have improved
once the 60 says is complete id suggets a week or so off then doing it again
you can also do this as well as a weight session on the same day
i currently do a morning run and then do my insanity on an evening
you will see results you just need to dedacate 40 mins a day to do it and stick to the plan
it comes with a calender that you can track your workout on
-
A mate reccomend insanity as need to tone up not bulk up with my size so was going to give it a go after season as a joint thing with my kettle bells and by your reckoning it sounds good
-
Roco it will do just that tone you its really good but be prepaired to work hard
you get out what you put in
-
Well I usually do a 20-40 min kettlebell workout at 6am so I can put work in no problem as long as it no longer than an hour a workout as time would be a factor then
-
The insanity is a 40 min workout from start to finish each session
-
That includes the warm up yeah?
-
yeah that includes warm up and cool down
-
Top stuff will invest once season is over
-
Insanity it is then. Thanks
-
I bought Insanity and it is an excellent, stupidly tough workout that will give you results. I had to stop after 30 days of the 60 day program though as my calves couldn't take the pressure that they are put under as there is a lot of jumping movements involved in it and I was constantly straining my calf muscles. To be fair, I am 44 though so if you are younger and more flexible than me then you should be ok, but just something to think about.
-
So I've done both for about 35 days straight and tbh I love both. My view is durin the off season do p90 as the muscle work will leave you quite sore. During the season do Insanity which will help keep your cardio and flexibility for weekend matches.

I don't know... It just seems too good to be true! Also just read reviews on eCrater, and not too sure I would trust that site!
