Hi and welcome to the forum.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3 you have chosen. Personally I would go with a Rob Pack or a saf. Saf have a few bats currently for sale that are pre made so good deals to be had and prowannabe usually has a few bats for sale on behalf of Rob Pack although he doesn't frequent the forum much these days.

SAF are very very good.. The bats I have seen from Rob Pack look super nice and so do the woodstocks.

If I were looking I think it would come down to the toss of a coin between rob pack & SAF. But if I were buying a bat now I would get hold of Its Just Cricket and select a GN DYNADRIVE.. :) but I have a SAF and a duck&run at home..

Flip the coin.. Heads go for SAF - Tails its Mr Pack

:)

Thanks for the reply, i live quite locally to SAF and Rob Pack, so i think im going to take a drive to each of them and have a look and a chat. Just all depends which one first. As said a coin may be the only option!!

Having used Woodstock and SAF, but sadly not Pack, I'd certainly take the SAF over the Woodstock. Bit of advice, when you visit SAF, take a packet of chocolate hob-nobs...

I have all three brands of bat and the Woodstock, Pack and SAF are all quality.
But if I was just choosing one of them, then it would be SAF by a nose from Pack.
There are a couple of reason, but the main decider for me is that SAF are on this forum and therefore you have that extra cozy and secure feeling that you'll be looked after! Absolute pinging bats too!  8)

And if you get a Hades and go and see Andy to get it made, you'll absolutely love it!

If you have the chance to visit then I'd swing by and see Andy at Saf. You'll get a corking bat but you'll learn a lot at the same time. As Tim2000s said just ply with biscuits and you'll get a belting stick!  :D

take a packet of chocolate hob-nobs...

I heard he likes custard creams

The best advice I can give you is have a chat [phone call :D] to all of them and then go with the one you feel is best for you then.  That is what I would do

Yeah I would just go down to the nearest and get one made there. All of them would be good bats. I've just ordered a new Woodstock, will post a few pics when it comes.

I have a woodstock this year and absolutely love it. I have trouble getting off other players in my team who want to use it come game day to. The only problem Ive had with it is its now broke, split from the toe 1/4 the way up. Though John has agreed to take it back and see if it can be repaired. I had it back in feb, but will report back with what happens.

The distribution of wood on the Woodstock makes the toe and higher up the bat quite vulnerable to damage. The toe is absolutely dead on my Woodstock. Otherwise a very good bat.

I look at this from a batmaker point of view really.
John has some decent bats available I'm sure!

But Andy at SAF and Robert Pack MAKE great bats! That's the difference for me on this subject.  ;)

I've only ever seen pics of the bats on here, but the Robert Pack ones look superb. Mind you, so do Paul Aldred's.

Took a trip to see Andy today, walked away with a Hades fine tuned to exactly what i wanted.  Honestly cant recommend him high enough, highly skilled, knows everything and a proper decent bloke.
Very happy

I am in the process of arranging a visit to see Andy to get a bat made for me. So hopefully it will turn out to be a cracking bat.

I love the Hades profile and Andy knows so much about willow (total willow geek) that he will ensure that you walk away with a beautifully balanced and ultra responsive blade! Get it knocked in fella as we are gagging for a full review  ;)

Good lord these old threads.

I got caught out this morning by asking @procricket if the crown cleft was still available and the thread was 2 years old  :o

Having only had experience from using rob pack I would say him as all the sticks I have had have been guns, they ooze quality but from hearing from other who have used SAF and Woodstock they couldn't complain either so whatever you choose you won't go wrong

Well... speculation recently that one of them is now getting their bats in from Pakistan, one of them is a sticker up brand, and one is a forum sponsor with by all accounts a great reputation... Shouldn't be too much of a difficult choice ;)

On a completely unrelated note... Rob Pack is definitely on the brands I haven't owned wishlist after seeing more examples of them on here lately.

One of my club mates has just got a new Woodstock and it's lovely! Nice shape good grains but a but to conclaves for me and from what I've seen any bat from rob pack will be worth every penny can't comment on saf

Rob's bats are excellent and his customer service and return policy in my experience is right up there.
I've seen several blue rooms up close and I have an RPC which is a gun bat.
