Has there been any performance tests been done between the two shapes?

I think Tim should do his famous scientific bounce test ;)

I have a new idea for a scientific performance test involving a leaf blower, the side of a shed, some flexible tube and a few cricket bats and balls....

before anybody gets excited both bats are 2'12 plus and will have big and wide middles. Maybe a better test would be 2 very light bats where edge and middle size had a greater influence on performance.

Simmy, which one picks up better?

in my experience i have found bats with high spines to pick up better......

you would be suprised mate both bats pick up very well for the weight.

id say the high spined one picked up better, but i preffered the other one as i like a bottom heavy bat. whats why johnny now owns the big spine one

i agree, the one with the high spine picked up better.
