Title: New custom bat from assports.co.uk
Post by: Singo on May 26, 2009, 04:14:52 PM
My specs :

Lowish middle
10ish grains
2.5ish weight,
Good power

Service
was amazing and he kept up with replies very quickly.
Was very nice and helpful.

Performance
Knocked it in for about 4 hours and sounds nice,
Oiled it twice,
Will give more detail when used it more

Should i put a sheet over it now? And could i use it in a match?

What you think of the bat?

The stain 1/3 of the way down the bat, it being half heartwood and the grain not looking fantastic. Perhaps the photo's don't do it full justice.

The photos are not very clear so it is difficult to see the grains. I don't look at the grains as for me the pick up and balance is more important than anything else. It has to be soft pressed as I want to enjoy the max ping i can get.

I have a junior bat with 24+ grains but it doesn't have any ping.

I can post the pictures to show the face of the bat more clearly than the Yash has shown in his post.

Regards

Asad

I would stick the pictures up as the ones above give a poor representation of the bat unless it is as poor as it looks.

It's alot nicer in real life :) the first time I saw the pictures I wasn't sure but when I got the bat it was a beauty, and it pings so nice! The people at my west Yorkshire team are asking the number and website of where I got it :)

Very happy with everything from assports.co.uk

I would defintely reccomend it but ask for the bs to be lightly pressed for maximum ping but how much should I oil it? I think it's starting to dry up a bit is it best to coat just abit of oil? And now can I put the sheet on?
