Title: Hashim Amla
Post by: legger123 on November 09, 2012, 11:34:50 AM
What Bas does he use?
Quite like the look of them, if anyone could link me to them it'd be ideal. May be a potential bat for the upcoming summer.

He really could! I'm not sure if this topic is in the right section, so sorry if it isn't!

I believe it's the Bow Twenty20 he uses?
I have a couple of these and they are superb bats! But as rightly stated, Amla could use any brand and any grade of bat and he'd still look quality!  8)

http://www.cricketcentre.com.au/product_list/pages/product_list.php?Operation=SetSessionVariable&Variable[cat1]=Cricket+Bats+Senior&Variable[cat2]=BAS&Variable[cat3]=-1&pager=1&startpage=1

It is a BAS shadow limited edition the above link is an Australian link (in other words super expensive 320 pound roughly plus shipping).

If that is the one, then I may just pay out on a Slazenger V12.

£114 for a Halo 303, are they on drugs? My old man is going to Aus in Feb, might have to ship out some cheap willow with him. I'll make a killing.

He has always used Bow 20/20 BAS bats in the past - so has he changed now?
Mind you, I'm sure it would be made to Amla's specification anyway! He is a class batsman these days!  :D

surely we can ask the Red Cross to send bat parcels to our poor Antipodean forumites or start a charity for the disadvantaged?

How does it work out cost wise for you guys to buy bats from the UK and ship them over?

Well to put it in perspective a top of the line Kook players would cost the equivalent to approx £500 over here... So probably cheaper to buy there a ship over

Amlas bats say BOW 20/20 but its very different to the one I had.
Perhaps there is a new variation to the shape.
Petersens BAS Shadow looks different to the usual shape as well.

Petersen's BAS Shadow doesn't have edge stamps and the stickers are peeling... ;)
