Title: Gray Nicolls Visit
Post by: Uzi Sports on November 12, 2012, 08:02:22 PM
Just came back home after spending whole day at Gray Nicolls, had good meeting with the Gray's brothers in between hand picking our bats. Picked some lovely bats for our customers, picked 3 times more bats than I ordered.
Our Salix bats which we hand picked with Andrew Kember are getting ready and hopefully will be in within few days
Visiting Slazenger tomorrow and then next week Kookaburra followed by Newbery
Watch this space for photos of the bats we have selected

What did you make of the Dynadrives in the flesh?
I used to play with Dynadrive in my cricketing days. It felt really nice and picked most of the best dynadrives they had in stock
i will have these in the shop in the next few days

Just to make it clear we not only got dynadrive, but all the other bats as well (maverick, e41, a61). All the bats are chosen on performance not on looks

Hi Asad,

Noticed a couple of typos in your E41 500 page:

 Brand New For 2013

The unique shape of the E41 results in a profile that has to be seen to be believed. With a light pick up and an unprecidented 41mm edge profile, Gray-Nicolls are pushing the boundaries of bat making to make it easier for you to treach your boundaries

Excellent Quality Grade 1 English Willow
    Mid-Blade sweet spot
    Even bow throughout the balde
Slight concave shaping for feather light pickup
Unprecidented edge profile for extreme power
    Finest 12 piece cane handle
Semi oval bottom hand profile for optimum comfort
Distinctive middle profile positioned for perfect balance

Is it my imagination or are GN going the way of Kook, with nearly all the bats having extremely similar looking profiles?

Was thinking the same thing about the profiles. I liked the Oblivion profile from a couple of years ago more than the current one, doesn't look to have that low a middle.

I am glad you liked the bat. we only pick the best from the manufacturers available stock. I'll check the A61 bats tomorrow but i think they both perform equally well.
Have u looked at the Dyna drives we have?

Yea I have seen them but not my cup of tea I'm afraid mate. I bought one on impulse to see what they were like and just didn't really see myself using it so sold to my brother which funded the Maverick from yourself but I do like the look of the A61 you have.

both are fantastic, so u can chose whichever u like. I also have 2.9 which pings much better than any other bat in that price range but it is not very good looking, 2.9. Guaranteed pinging bat otherwise u can have ur money back

LE is G1+, Players is G1. Depends on your definition of grading as to what the difference is!
