With most companies now making bats with huge profiles and 40mm edges becoming the norm interested to see what the majority of cricketers prefer?
Was having the conversation with my dad who was a fair old player in the day he is adamant that the old 2lb 4oz bats with 20mm edges were how bats were meant to be??

Traditional all the way mate. Have tried concaved bats in the past...I guess they don't really suit my way of playing but all I will use now is traditional.

I'll be honest with you, I like both. I don't think I really have much of a preference to be honest, although I will say that I prefer non-concaved to concaved. I have noticed quite a difference between them both. That's not to say that a concaved bat will never play as well as a non-concaved, but I find non-concaved is more forgiving and are more responsive.
I would probably be in the middle and say around 25-35mm edges with no concaving at a decent weight of let's say 2.12-2.14 is my preference now. I think 2lb 4oz is far too light for me! I don't mind if the edges are small, as long as the sweetspot is large!

I like both I like the tour by newbery a old traditional type convex bat but I like my concaved big edged bats as well
I like light bas agree convex bats are generally more forgiving

I like bats with no concaving, just seems to widen the sweet-spot and suit my play style.
