Title: 2013 kookaburra players small mens

I had my first net with these brand new gloves today. I was really looking forward to using them and on the 10th ball this happened! I do love kookaburra softs but this has obviously disappointed me a lot. Has anyone else had a similar glove epic failure?

Send them back kick up a fuss ;). See if they'll send you a new pair and you can keep the old one :D aha

It happens I guess, sometimes the stitching isn't tight enough.

I've already sent an email with the photo on it - it wasn't the only casualty of the net as I cracked the toe of my bat as well.....one of those great cricketing days!!

It's okay I have a new pair with more robust stitching - I'm in Suffolk which is probably a bit far for even the keenest enthusiast! The a14 is a hateful road.....

 >:( >:( >:( >:( Once again my Kook players gloves have split open after four - yes, four matches use. Obviously I can't return them as I've had them for a season but as this is the second occasion where these gloves have split along the finger I think I might have a rant at Kook customer services.
Incidently my Kook kahuna 1000 gloves have received constant abuse and usage and are still going strong. Seems that if you pay more you get less.......

Not good mate. I was having the same conversation with a mate of mine this weekend. I've got the 1000s and they've taken a full season of abuse without so much as a scratch. He's got the players and exactly the same thing happened. I can only imagine it's something to do with kangaroos and their propensity for having a split along their middle.

And so after an email to Kook customer services I have had zero response! I emailed them on monday with photos of both gloves but haven't heard a thing back which needless to say is a touch disappointing. I do love kookaburra gear and more importantly it fits me like a glove (no pun intended) but it does make me wonder if I should defect to another brand.....may be they're just busy with all the Bubble pre-orders........

Exact same thing happened to both of the kookaburra gloves i've had, Ice Sub Zero's and Kahuna menace's.

I think they're a faulty pair from a poor batch.  I've used Kook gloves exclusively for years and at the mo have a pair of 2008 and 2010 Ice gloves and both are still going strong.

I've also found Kook customer services to be spot on (although admittedly it's because I've wanted something from them!).  Give them a call - I assume you've already tried the store that sold them to you?

I've had absolutely nothing back from them so I've emailed Mr Cricket and asked for their input. If Mr Cricket have no input then I'll call Kookaburra and see what they've got to say. I've since examined the gloves and the whole seem down the side of the glove is poorly done and all over the place. Must have been a bad day in the factory........

Shouldn't have used Mr Cricket ;)

We would have solved this a while ago, knowing at least three blokes on the warehouse floor at Kook helps.

Also just a thought, are you definitely a small mens?

Kook gloves are very reliable in my experience.

I am definitely a small mens size - the normal mens are far too big. My 2012 1000's are still going strong - this seems to be a poor batch.

Hurrah! - gloves dispatched back to Mr Cricket who were extremely accommodating and prompt in their response! Hopefully a new set will be forthcoming soon and it will prove to be third time lucky.....

A good result! When the new range is in I'll be receiving a pair of Kahuna Players gloves!
Happy days!

UPDATE!
I duly received my gloves but was disappointed to see the drop in quality of the materials that have been used on this seasons gloves. The palm leather is very thin and oddly plasticky in texture but the worst bit is that the fingers are wider at the top than the base. I have reverted to a pair of GN legends as the match gloves.....much better.....
