Title: 2 or 3 Strap Batting Pads
Post by: Marc28 on December 14, 2012, 11:30:25 AM
I am looking for some new Pads and was looking at Puma 2 Strap ones over the more conventional 3 straps, does anyone have any reviews or views on these as i do like the look of the 2 strap Pumas but after using 3 straps forever worried they may slip abit.
any help appreciated

I think its all personal preference. a mate of mine bought some puma 2 strappers for a bargain during the season. wore them once and hated them. has since gone back to 3 strappers instead. he found them uncomfortable and easily moved. could just be his opinion or how he wears pads.

I use and prefer two strap puma pads. I find they are a much comfier fit. No problems with slipping. Only issue is with two straps is the more modern look that some people don't like.

O have a pair of Puma 2 straps too.  These feel so much comfier to me than the 3 straps and would always look for a 2 strap in future.

2 strap all the way. I use a youth puma pad and it's well made and very comfy. I have short legs and the 3 strap mens pads always had a top strap would end up halfway up my thigh or being dragged down to my knee.

I've a set of both and find either work well for me! I do like the modern look of the Pumas though...

I have recently moved to puma 2 strap having always used 3 strap pads and like you was doubting that i would like them! However having netted in them i have found them to be equally as comfy as 3 straps although did take a little getting used to regarding the comfort of the top strap however now they fit very comfortable. However i can't comment how they will stay when running in them due to only having the opportunity to net in them, hope this helps :)

I'm on Puma two strap and love them, they are comfy and stay put when you run. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I bought a pair of Kook Angry Beast about 5 years ago, really light pads, love them. I've cut the middle strap off if them as I find them so much more comfortable as a 2 strapper. Starting to fall to bits so just ordered another pair from Morrants, £23, can't be bad!

2 straps - find them far more comfy and undoubtedly so much lighter.bit of a fussy guy so bought a pair of Shamrocks, Ninja, SS and SG... Tbh there really is little between all of them performance wise. And cost for that matter. Anyone wants to know which I think are best msg me. They all have pros and cons
