Title: Dynadrive LE's
Post by: Vitas Cricket on December 15, 2012, 12:23:29 AM
Hi guys,

We got some LE Dynadrives in a while back, they sold within 24 hours.

We had planned to order some more for 2 local buyers, and offered a pre-order option to cricket insight members.

Both local buyers have since purchased Gunn & Moore gear after attending our test track event, and we had little traffic from the cricket insight offer so we didn't make an order in the end. I am extending the offer that CI members were given to you though.

Anyone ordering a Dynadrive LE from us will get free knocking in, as well as our usual free delivery offer. Please see the link below for further details.

http://www.vitascricket.co.uk/products.php?id=903

We can't guarantee an exact weight, but due to LE wood being generally lighter, and the scoops reducing this weight further, the weight range is approx 2'7 - 2'10. I will do my best to get grays to accommodate any requests though. Looking at approx 2 weeks lead time.

The bats are £310 each.

Many thanks guys.

Jake, whilst I know clefts for those two were hand selected but what are chances to get similar cleft if one is ordered?

Secondly, so these are being made in UK?

I believe the Dynadrives are normally G2 or lower aren't they? So I would presume it's quite low that you'll get something like these clefts

The Dynadrives jake is talking about are made from Gray Nicolls L.E willow, so they do have a good chance of looking like the ones above.

I'd to say the chance of receiving something similar would be high, these aren't made from the usual willow (hence the LE). Both look lovely sticks Jake, I'm sure you'd be able to secure some beauties. Even better chance if you take the rep out again  :D

The normal Dynadrive (£159) is made of grade 2 willow. These will be made from LE willow, hence the price.

Secondly, so these are being made in UK?

I will be in contact to try and secure a photo of some clefts to choose from when a buyer has purchased the bat. After picking one I'll do my best to get them to make it to a certain weight if that is what the buyer requests.

These are UK made, at Robertsbridge.

question is, can you get them done long blade or long handle?

We could get a long handle in there as part of a custom made package. Where you get to specify weight, handle length (SSH/SH/LH) handle type (carbo/atomic/standard)* length of blade, bow of blade (standard/moderate/extreme) and some other options too.

This costs £325.

*assuming a carbo/atomic is available in LH, I see no reason why not.

We offer this too, for £325 :) - http://www.vitascricket.co.uk/products.php?id=714

This topic is mainly about Dynadrive LE's which are £310, normally you wouldn't be able to choose a cleft but as we aren't Cricket Direct and can offer a far more personal service, i'm hoping to be able to get pictures of clefts for people on CBF to choose from. Any of the following:

Maverick, Oblivion, Powerbow, Scoop, Dynadrive, E41, A61 and Kaboom.

If you want a shape totally customised to your requirements then you need a factory visit, which we also sell ;)

The edge comparison is done with an A61 1000, which is a big bat in its own right, but its dwarfed by the Dynadrive.

He's been tweeting pics of lots of tasty looking Dynas recently, so maybe!

Edges are 47mm, but there is quite a lip as it wraps over to the scoop on the back, so its hard to judge where to measure from, best picture to see this is the edge comparison one. I measured from the 'lowest' point when the bat is laid face down.

Hi guys.

Just been through a period of self moderation. I Found myself posting comments that were deconstructive so I have stayed off and just watched the forum. Was very pleased with these dynadrives so I thought it was about time to raise my head above the parapet.

It was good to meet you simmy and I'm sorry you didn't get on with the dynadrive in the gear test from the other forum!

Hoping to post a bit more through 2013.

I really do fancy one of these, I would love to go and see Grays make this as art of the price but there captains choice thing is silly money.

The couple of standard dynadrives I've seen oppo players use have been planks and weight wise I am confused as I thought the off the shelf bats were medium weight and above so 2.10 lightest. Maybe a end of season treat.

The lightest off the shelf i have seen is 2'9, mine is 2'10. Its a decent middle but pretty hard pressed.

The custom mades are from the top wood which is generally lighter. Alex said to me he will struggle to get them much heavier than 2'10 due to the scooping. The 2'8.5 we had in was massive, mind bogglingly big. Pics are further back on this topic.

Holy mother of god!!!!!!!!!

Was going to get a custom, but a custom made GN is the reality of all dreams combined, especially with the Dynadrive, which you don't ever see over here in Oz.

One question though. What is the difference between the handles? Standard, carbo, and atomic? Which one would give me the best pickup?

Also, is there free knocking in and delivery on the Customs as there is on the LEs?

And what's GN's top willow? Legend, or LE?
Title: Re: Dynadrive LE's
Post by: Vitas Cricket on June 09, 2013, 12:39:24 PM
Standard handle is a normal cane handle. A carbo handle has a carbon fibre sleeve round the outside of the handle, for the first 6 inches or so from the top. An atomic (I think) has a carbon fibre tube running down the centre of the handle for the first 6 inches or so.

Carbo/atomic handles are generally stiffer, so it is about flex more than pickup.

Yes I will knock it in for free.

I have generally had a mixture of clefts when asking for pictures, some have 'LE' written on them, some have 'LEG' - rest assured you a getting a choice from the best willow availabLe to buy from GN.
