Popped in to see Paul and to pick up my Dynadrive, which he's been knocking in for me. There was the usual pleasant welcome at the Cricket Oasis that is IJC in Walworth.
He has some lovely bats in, including a couple of gorgeous V12s, that I hadn't realised have offset edges and both ping and pick up beautifully. The Menace 700 is also very impressive in the flesh, and feels like it will be a great bat.
As you'd expect, the Willostix are beautiful, but more of that in the Spitfire topic, and finally, the Hammer bats. The branding really works well in the flesh, and they all feel very nice. I'll let Paul post a few pictures, as most of mine appear to have failed in my haste, but the Hel-156 really picks up well, and is a unique shape. I'd recommend a tap test to, because they feel really nice.
On testing the Dyandrive in store, Paul has picked me a good one, and having a test with a ball, it feels better than with the mallet. Looking forward to getting it into the nets...
Finally, the Slogger...ooops, sorry, Slugger. It feels as though you should wield it like a baseball bat, and I'd suggest a strong tailender would have a lot of fun with it...
Apologies about the lack of photos, but I'm sure if you ask Paul nicely he'll provide some!

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to park near It's Just Cricket?
I am in London in January and not too far away so might be able to pop in

There is on street pay and display just round the corner, which is free at the weekend.

Did you have a look at the Vantage bats there too?

If you're in London it's easier to get the tube to elephant and castle and it's about a 10min walk from there.

Yep, it's £2.80 per hour on weekdays, but free on weekends. Can park literally right outside the shop... Look forward to seeing you in Jan then! We'll have the Newbery bats and a few more Slaz in by then too...

Thanks Tim.
I will be in the car anyway sampling the delights of Lewisham...
I guess I could leave my car there and get on the train then train back again

Damnit, writing a review on a phone on the Tube, you always miss something. Yes, indeed I did. The Vantage bats are also very nice. Picked up and had a swing with the Volt and the Lithium... Well finished, the ones Paul has picked also respond well and the Lithium has a really, really long middle. It feels like a very forgiving bat!
Thanks Tim.

I drive over there from Lewisham! Let me know when you are around. From Lewisham it is definitely easier by car as by train you'd have to go into London Bridge and out again to Elephant and Castle. By car it takes about 20 mins and more importantly, you'll be able to carry all the stuff you buy!
