Desperately sad news and taken far too early.

RIP Tony Greig. Will miss hearing his commentary.

very sad. Without Tony Greig cricket would be a very different game right now, by setting up world series cricket with Kerry Packer he changed the game for ever.
every professional player owes him a debt their thanks.
-
I would like to see each and every team pay homage to him in their next game.
-
Tony Greig also introduced the helmet to cricket... he really was one of the most influential people in cricket history.

Ahan, perhaps Ayrtek designing something which pays tribute to Greig, would get Ayrtek heaps of admirers I'm sure..

That is very sad news, RIP Tony. Never had the pleasure to watch him play but he was amongst some of the most enjoyable commentators for me....

Tony Greig was an inspiration to generations, good comments on here, I did see him play and as a lot have said he changed the game and a lot of pro's owe him a debt of thanks.
He was also a cricket fashion icon, collar up, cap on, St Peter batting gloves.
RIP

Nobody could get you as excited about a passage of play as Greigy could.
Great article floating about aptly named Crickets Greatest Salesman.
He certainly changed the game for the better.
