Not sure if anyone has started a thread on this yet but if I've missed it could someone point me in the right direction.
Last year I had a bat that I decided to retire as it had started to break up and since it was that bat i used to make my highest score i decided to have it framed. I Spent allot of time searching the internet to see what was available in the way of cases. I couldn't believe some of the prices of these, some around £200 for a clear plastic display case.
Millichamp and Hall used to sell one but they informed me they had ceased making these through lack of interest.
I ended up speaking to a local guy who does all the framing for the cricket club and he said he could make me one. I've had 2 made now and they look awesome. He even puts green astro turf in the box behind the bat.
More to follow.
Here are a few of the photos.

Here's the bat I had framed originally. The picture isn't great because of he light and the reflection from he glass but you get the idea. It's a really professional job, and its even got astroturf lining the inside. The plaques are made by Pennine trophies and cost only a few pounds. So if anyone wants one making up PM me and I'll put you in touch with the guy who does them.

Looks nice mate, great idea. I reckon it would be even better if the window cutout is a little bit bigger to show off a bit more of the bat. But other than that, they're great!

I was looking for something similar, how much did they cost if you don't mind me asking?

They look great.

They cost around £60 to £80 depending on exactly what you want. In the first one they wanted the bat to turn so you could look at the profile where as mine was just a straight display. Also the moulding can make a difference in he price!

If only the MH had a bunch of cherries on it

It used to have quite a few but it had a protective face so I decided to have the bat cleaned up to show off the wood!

Is that the same cal as the one in kippa

Yep, I had it made up for them. He's got a couple of other bats he wants framing as well that his dad made including one used by David Gower.
