make sure you are leading with your head and your weight is coming forward when you make contact with the ball

Yes, I was taught to keep your head over the ball, and don't take a big stride down with the foot.  The foot just follows where the head goes.  This will help you keep balance, which is the most important part of proper execution of the shot.

A decent sized stride leading with your head I find is a good way to transfer the weight into your drive! Make sure that you get a good stride in, but don't go too far forward, or you are off balance, and your head may not be over the ball. Hope this helps!

What everyone else has said is great advice. Perhaps start with weight slightly over your front knee and go head first onto the front foot!

look on youtube for the videos of Michael Clarke then of Ian Bell playing the drive.

That should teach you all you need to know.

I know what to do its just frustrating I don't consistently do it. When I'm batting well the off drive is my best shot, but cut and back foot drive I play quite well consistently. It's annoying, probably if I focus on it during per season and rest of the winter it will become natural. Also I need a higher backlift or at least backswing

Get on that bowling machine and bang out a few thousand drives Obviously ensuring you do it correctly.. You'll find you naturally 'remember' it in a game then :)
