Title: Kookaburra Genesis pictures
Post by: Chad on December 31, 2012, 06:52:05 PM
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone had an old Kookaburra Genesis lying about, and would be kind enough to take some pics for me! Just planning on getting a copy of it made, as I'm looking for a very light bat, and the best light bat I have used have been Genesis' from memory. :D It would be greatly appreciated if I could get a picture from the toe upwards, handle downwards and the divots. 8)

Cheers

Chad

PS. Not sure whether this is an items wanted post or what, so just posted it under Bats... :-[

Cheers Nick! I appears the Aus edition Genesis doesn't seem to have divots like the UK one, at least from memory! I just remember my old one being as chunky as anything yet 2lb 8oz. It was crazy! 8) I am just wondering if I should risk getting it copied, as this was a few years ago, so I may not have remembered correctly! The profile was slightly more like this...

Maybe you could talk to Tomtek about making you a one off Wilkie. 8)

Your right it does have some deep concaving.

I had one in size 6 that has split by the handle, the extreme concaving doesn't do it much help.  I found anywhere other than the middle and it was pretty poor performance wise. It's still in 1 piece though so I'll dig it out and get some photos.

Haha I think a lot of them broke. (Mine included) Maybe I should just go for a safer option haha! It did have an explosive middle though! The Genesis and the Beast are probably my favourite Kookaburra ranges. :-[

My friend had a harrow genesis hurricane, loved the bat whenever i used it! Although i never scored that many runs with it, so perhaps my infatuation may be to do with the fact it was one of the first good bats i ever used!
