Post by: stevie on June 07, 2009, 08:26:04 AM
Does anybody know why McCullum isn't keeping wicket?

Because on Peter McGlashan's blog, he says he wants to keep fresh for when he bats in a T20 match

That seems counterintuitive, as T20 is so short anyway! McGlashan kept really well

He over rates himself far too much, he very rarely performs well. He has scored 3 test hundreds and 1 was against bangladesh and the other zimbabwe ... in 44 matches! I really dont think he is worth his place as a batsman, will come off every 10 or so games against a minor nation.

the Majority of the 44 matches played was when he was batting at like no. 7 for New Zealand, but yeah he should be scoring way more hundreds now since hes opening

How does he over rate himself? I've a friend in the NZ camp and by all accounts he is a very down to earth bloke, not Mr Ego as you are making out.
