Title: Umar Akmal sponsored by Ihsan?
Post by: Cover_Drive on January 06, 2013, 12:19:29 PM
Appears to be that he is no longer with GM, assuming his contract ended on 31 December 2012 as he was endorsing GM in Twenty20s he played last year.

As a fan sad to see him leave GM, he currently seem to be sponsored by Ihsan (although bat is GM) along SF gloves (seems like Pakistani players bought them in bulk!)

Uzair How do you know that bat is GM.
Regarding your point about the SF gloves, i believe SF is paying the Pakistani players to use their softs in this series

I will try to post a picture.

Was told few Pakistani players got sponsorship deals in India so what you said could be well true..

Ahan, it is reported that it feels like -1 degrees Celsius in Delhi..

A 'representative' of Umar Akmal emailed us today, giving us the opportunity to put our own Vitas Lion stickers on his bats for the 3 tests against South Africa, £800 per test!

Would be super cool to see one of 'our bats' on TV in an International series, but we would need to shift an awful lot of bats off the back of it to make it worthwhile.

How much is Kamran asking?

£3 and a packet of frazzles?

£800 seems pretty cheap for the amount of coverage it would get.

not if he's out cheaply, if you pardon the pun.

Is he likely to start though?

Jamshed
Hafeez
Kahn
Azhar
Shafiq
Misbah
Sarfraz

Will be the top 7 won't it?

Azhar will be number three most likely.

Somewhat hope Adnan Akmal is still selected but that would shatter Sarfraz Ahmed.

I'll doubt we'll pursue it as a genuine proposal. Was nice to dream for a moment though :)

Are these proposal's common? Dispels any belief that pro's don't sticker up their bats

Yeah that wasn't in any particular order CD but do u think that will be the line up?

If so £800 is a bit steep for net exposure!

I propose to happily promote vitas bats for a season  all for the cost of one bat ;)
Beats 3 games for £2400 -  A whole season for £200  BARGIN!!!

Worth a shot!

Not my fault I hit the ball so hard!!    When I was  playing in the southern prem leagues I never broke a bat. Where as in the Sussex league's they're going left right and centre!!    Next season I'm back with havant. So manufacturers are safe ;)
