I calling it as 20th April, might be earlier or later for some but looking at less than 100 days for most of us soon. Some sunshine just poked through here and I'm ready to get stuck into nets. Just another 100 days of shopping trips, indoor football, gym sessions, snow, rain, coats and we'll be there. Who's got fixtures sorted? First oppos? New faces? New grounds or clubs?
-
New club for me this year. Playing at imo the nicest ground in Somerset every other week seems like a damn good season to me! Will probably get bombed to the 3rds fairly early doors and end up playing in a farmers field somewhere but form must come back at some point!
-
96 days for me with a friendly on the 13th away at Barnoldswick CC
this was supposed to be followed by a prelim National cup match on the 14th, but the opposition have withdrawn
-
Totally new league for me. Looking forward to the new challenge and a change of scenery really we will be going into North East Premier League Div 1 from next season, with ex Durham players Ash Thorpe & Paul Hindmarsh joining the club for the new season.

102 now

Unlucky mate haha
Can be an alryt ground if it sunshines (as every ground can be) but apart from that i always find it a bit gloomy!

North Perrott?
Correct. Buzzing!!!

Nice, I will hopefully have a couple friendly games over there, the Local brewery uses it as their 'Home' pitch for their fixtures. I've always bowled well there, never scored any runs against very average bowlers!

great stuff, undoubtedly it will be freezing and wet
played a friendly in nottingham last season early april, was a lovely ground, but too wet to cut a wicket so played on astro and outfield was tad long. coldest cricket match iv ever played

First league game on April 27 th , Looking forward to it as it will be my last season for a while . I am a bit worried about the way the weather has been. The constant rain last month has meant that the grounds are saturated to maximum. Even the slightest rain further on will probably ruin wickets. Lets pray for a baking hot weather this season to make up for the matches that were called off last season :).
-
14th April is my first game, hopefully there will a couple earlier than that as well.
-
My league games (for me) are starting late, I'll be in Mexico on Homeymoon.
You win some you lose some I guess
-
got first set of net times through, got to wait until 3rd February for a net! :o
I'll be playing sooner than netting at this rate!

You're complaining about your nets starting at the beginning of February? I'll be lucky if I start nets by the beginning of March! And we haven't received our fixtures yet!
-
when do people start chasing for sponsors? I imagine it must be soon.
-
Far too long til the start of the season, I want to play all year round!
-
we our doing it now but strugeling we need 3 new shirt sponsors

End of the season fella, normally a week or two after the last game and the end of season bbq. The current sponsors get an invite, if they want to continue you get the vibe and know there and then or go on the hunt for someone that fits the bill. But we always tried to get it done early so training costs from jan onwards are covered.

big question, are you going to use an ayrtek bat? Seriously, the temptation to just use your stock instead of actually looking for your kit must be immense!
-
the pet hate of mine is knocking a new bat in! we have the review bat that Batting 46 returned to us that is due to go back out again shortly thats ready to use that a few members on here tried up at Headingley.
Will still be using my bat i have used for the last 4 seasons tho but couple of others in nets to prolong its lifespan
